Shipt shopper deactivation is a pain in the buttocks!
Can I tell you a story?
Okay, here’s how it goes. It was eleven and a half months since I became a Shipt shopper and I was preparing for our shoppiversary.
Dimly lit candles, grocery cart cake, and a tall glass of La Croix(you already know what flavor).
All of a sudden, I got a deactivation notice by email(not even a phone call).
“Was it something I said?”, the short notice was most hurtful.
Sure, my rating was a little below average but I was turning it around. So why would Shipt deactivate me?
I filed an appeal ASAP and ended up getting my account reinstated just 3 days after the Shipt Shopper deactivation notice!
If you’re deactivated, don’t worry because I’m going to show you four of the best tips to get reactivated in no time!
Table of Contents
1. Appeal Quickly
Shipt has a clear appeals process that must be followed.
Make sure to carefully review the instructions and submit all required documentation as soon as possible.
To contact Shipt’s support team, you can:
– Use the live chat on their website
– Email support@shipt.com
– Call (205) 502-2500
– Use the Shipt app
Compose a clear and concise appeal letter addressing the reason for your deactivation.
While maintaining professionalism, briefly explain your perspective, highlight any mitigating circumstances, and express your commitment to providing quality service to Shipt customers.
It is essential to be respectful and professional in your communication!
2. Keep Your Cool
I had to make this it’s own section because you should keep your cool when appealing or communicating with support in general.
Since the pandemic, we’ve become more distant…and comfortable communicating from our safe spaces.
Basically, it’s buttock kissing time.
3. Make Your Story GOOD
If you know what led to your deactivation, make sure to address these issues in your appeal. Explain what you’ve learned and how you plan to prevent the same mistakes from happening in the future.
Use an urgent reason to get reactivated(can’t pay rent, children need support, etc…)
This will be used with a specific change to your shopping plan after getting reactivated. For example, if low rating was reason for deactivation, explain in your appeal how you’ll get it increased(and why you’re kids need the reactivation).
This is like serving them ice cream with a sprinkle of promise and guilt. A divine proposition backed with urgency they can’t refuse.

Even though it says Instacart, the the same strategies can be applied to Shipt.

4. Don't Give Up
Finally, don’t give up if your first appeal is denied. Keep trying, review your documentation, and make any necessary improvements before submitting another appeal.
If you use the tips I gave you, Shipt will reactivate your account in less than a week. Especially if you have a decent history with them.
